🎬 What is a Response?
A Response is the action system that tells the ironShift Engine: “Something just happened — now let’s do something cool.”
Think of it like this: “Hey! Something just entered or exited the atmosphere — I'm going to rotate that object, play a sound effect, and trigger a post-process effect.”
Where Signals define when something happens, Responses define what actually happens in reaction. Whether you're rotating objects, fading the screen, playing a cutscene, or launching particle effects — Responses are your go-to toolkit.
🧰 Response Categories
The Response system is modular and ever-expanding, with categorized tools for a wide range of effects:
🎧 Audio Responses
🧱 Core Responses
🎨 Post-Processing Responses
🚀 The Heart of Your Game Logic
Pair Signals with Responses to create:
Environmental triggers
Cinematic sequences
Puzzle mechanics
Combat logic
UI interactions — all without writing a single line of code.
The Response Library is built to grow with your game. Every version of the ironShift Engine adds new tools to make your workflow faster, smarter, and more creative.
