👋Welcome to ironShift Engine Documentation

less code, more productivity

Overview

I'm developing the ironShift Engine, a custom visual coding framework built to accelerate full-scale game development with minimal hand-written code. Designed with a structure similar to Unity's component-based system, ironShift allows for the creation and management of characters, animations, input controllers, UI, effects, stats, dialogue systems, and both melee and shooter mechanics — all through an intuitive visual interface.

ironShift is purpose-built to serve as the foundation for my upcoming Steam game, which is currently in the funding stage. Every purchase of the engine directly supports the game's development. This toolset enables rapid and modular system design, giving me the flexibility to build complex gameplay features without being locked into third-party tools or constantly buying plugins just to accomplish simple tasks.

I believe that game developers should focus on creating engaging experiences rather than writing repetitive code. By using visual coding techniques, the engine allows developers to:

  • Create complex game behaviors without writing code

  • Set up character controllers and animations with minimal effort

  • Define game interactions through visual signals and responses

  • Integrate visual effects, UI systems, and enemy AI seamlessly
